do you sketch these from your mind, or do you look at a similar picture and make your own modifications, etc.? either way, all of your drawings are amazing.

I had to look at pictures of the ones that would be hard to tell appart without the colors such as the woods and the minerals. That way I can identify the details in the textures that make them ifferent. But most of them I just sketch them from my mind, yes.

materials are hard and i see that between stones there isn't any difference than shapes shades are importatnt too
e.g. quartz isn't glassy... and diamond! (i don't really notice that is diamond while i see the name under!)}
